The Hi-tech City is a prominent technology township that is at the center of the information technology industry in the city. The township is over 151 acres and is in the northwestern direction of the city. The first phase started in 1998, and it gets connected to the city through a network of rail and buses. The project also houses the offices of the IT giants of the world.
The commencement of the project got initially done by L&T ECC. The main aim was to have an integrated township for IT people to work and live. The first phase of the project was the Cyber Towers, and the second phase of the project was Cyber Gateway. It gets known for its huge arch in front of the building that serves as a gateway to the rest of the city.
The Phase 2 of the project is over 8.5 lakh square feet of land. The project has a glass facade, landscaped gardens, and a waiting lounge. The whole place was designed as business process outsourcing models and many IT-enabled services, such as full power connectivity and many redundancies. Like the Cyber Towers, the businesses housed in the Gateway hat include IT giants such as Dell Incorporated and Capitol Records.
